A Very Strange Day

When we came into the classroom this morning some of our toys were missing!!

Then we went to look for them. We looked in School Age 2 and the gym...but no luck!

When we came back from the gym it was even worse!! All of our blocks and even more toys were missing!! We could not figure out what was going on!

We were not happy about this!

"How will we build our tower without the blocks?"

"We left the blocks right here!! Where did they go?"

Then we noticed our super hero costumes were gone too....

"This is a mystery. I just don't know what's going on!!"

We decided to report our missing toys to Mr. Blatz. He told us to go check for broken windows and muddy footprints. He said he would right out a report.

We checked and double checked. No broken windows, no muddy footprints and the door was locked up tight!!

We took a snack break but all the chairs were backwards.

We either turned our chairs around or just sat backwards.

Mrs. Thwaites made us brownies for dessert. We were so excited!!

Wait... What happened to the brownies??

These are brown E's. We can't eat those!!

Or maybe we can... "Yuck!"

They are paper! Mrs. Thwaites couldn't figure out who replaced her brownies with brown "E"s.

We decided to play with some worms that Mrs.Thwaites brought in. They looked so slimy.

We couldn't wait to touch the worms!

That's when it happened...

Mrs. Thwaites started eating them!! "She put the worms in her mouth!!"

"She's really eating them!"

"Gross!!"

"No!! Stop Mrs. Thwaites!!

One of the children decided to be brave and eat one of the worms too. She said it tasted really good.

Mrs. Thwaites told us they were really jello worms. So more children wanted to taste them.

They were pretty tasty after all!

Mrs. Pollreis read us a story about some barnyard animals that were also having a very strange day just like we were.

It was then we found out it was April Fools Day and that our teachers were tricking us!!

They hid all of our toys in other classrooms.

Happy April Fools Day!!!!
