Camp Manitou

A picture is worth 1000 words..... So here are 1000 pictures😜

Archery

Zip line

Lunch

Rock wall

Bannock

Team building games

Pool time

Camp was a great experience for everyone. We all tried things for the first time, we were a little nervous at first but that never stopped any of the Schoolage 1 children from having a fantastic time.

During our time out doors the children showed;
Cooperation
Determination
Enthusiasm
Thankfulness
Respect
And most importantly bravery when trying something that was a little scary.

What a great way to end the school year!!!!

Change is coming.....

A few parents have been asking when their child will be moving up to School Age 2. We are not sure as to when all of the children will be moving up but as soon as we know we will let our families know.

We love our School Age 1 families and hope everyone has a wonderful summer.

To start off the summer in Schoolage 1 we have added two new exciting additions to the classroom.

Our new birthday calendar:

Our homemade farm and light table:

Classroom Compost

Our classroom has started our very own compost so that we may added the soil that it makes to our gardens next year.

During our last Inservice day we baked some yummy banana muffins. We had banana peels that could go outside in the compost.

Once we were all done baking we headed outside.

We added the fruit to the bin then we needed to spin the barrel so that we could mix the compost.

Each of the children tried to spin the barrel, but figured out that it wasn't a one kid job.

They worked together and had the compost spinning in no time.

We as staff find it so rewarding that we get to take on these extra ideas and projects. We have the opportunity to teach the children what it's like to work hard and take pride in the fact that we are going the extra mile to add less garbage to the Brady landfill.
