Adventuring within Birds Hill Park

Today we were very excited to have a field trip out in Birds Hill Park!
The bus dropped us all off at the sand dunes, but before we got to play in the sand dunes we ventured off in the walking trails.

While walking on the trails some of the kids spotted colourful stuff on the back of an oak tree leaf, Miss Cottrell told us that it was a different type of fungus. It was very interesting to see a fungus that was red, white and fuzzy!

Also on the walk we spotted frogs, ant hills, mushrooms, moss, and choke cherries!

After following the trail that we thought looped back.... but it didn't we were lucky enough to meet up with a school age two group and walked back to the sand dunes together to have lunch.  On the way back we found some pretty flowers.

After lunch we got the chance to hang out in the sand dunes. We made sand angels, sand snow men, and found some souvenirs.

While we were playing we found some animal tracks! It was a lot of fun to try and figure out what kind of animal it was from. We figured out that it was from a deer!

Another fantastic adventure!
