Zucchini Blueberry Bread & Garden Salad

We baked zucchini blueberry bread for morning snack. We spent the whole morning in the Play Garden and enjoyed our freshly baked, still warm bread, outdoors.

A big thank-you to Ms. Cottrell for bringing freshly picked blueberries...
no store bought berries for this crew ;) Only the freshest fruits and vegetables will do!

Then we started harvesting for afternoon snack, a garden salad! We picked our radishes.

Then we washed them in our fabulous outdoor sink!

The water from our sink drains into a bucket underneath. We then use the bucket water to water our trees!! This helps keep water from being wasted.

Radishes

Purple and yellow carrots. We also have celery and lettuce which we harvested yesterday.

"I'm really good at picking carrots".... Picks a carrot and it breaks..."Hey!! You made me pick the hard one!"

Learning how to safely use a sharp knife for cutting vegetables to put in our garden salad.

Enjoying our hard work for afternoon snack.
