Fire station field trip

To get prepared for our trip to the fire station we baked some super yummy banana chocolate chip cookies for the fire fighters to say thank you for having us visit their station.

We were all very excited to bring the cookies.

We walked to Station 11 which is located on Portage Ave.

When we arrived we were greeted by two firefighters. They invited us into the station to see the fire trucks.

We learned about the different items on the fire truck and how they use the fire truck to help people in trouble.

We also got to see one of the firefighters go down the fire pole.

Then we got to drive the fire truck!!!!!! Not everyone wanted to drive the truck, some of us only wanted to sit in the back seat.

After we all got our turns on the fire truck, one of the children started asking about how the firefighters get so strong. So they took us upstairs to their gym.

Then we went back downstairs and got to do our favourite part of our field trip.

Spraying the water hose!!! It was so cool.

We then decided that it would be fun to get Mrs. Thwaites to dress up in the fire fighter's uniform.

" This stuff is super heavy!"

High fives for the fire fighters

They were very greatful for the yummy cookies we baked for them.

A great field trip to the fire station

We also went to the park, where we played and had lunch.
