Plentiful gardens

This gardening season has been very successful and we really enjoy trying new things! As well as sharing our experience with our families.

Today we harvested some rainbow carrots, our very first green pepper, cucumbers and celery.

Which we made into a very colourful salad.

So yummy!

While we were on our field trip to Lower Fort Garry we learned about how to dry carrot tops to make dye for cloth. We decided to try it with our carrot tops as well as our celery tops.

Here they are drying in our classroom.
